More Than Just Aid: PT GAN Supports Comprehensive Recovery of Sungai Ambawang Residents
Kubu Raya - PT Graha Agro Nusantara (PT GAN) has demonstrated a strong commitment to the residents affected by the floods in Sungai Ambawang District. The company has distributed essential food packages containing rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, processed foods and also medicines to alleviate the burden on residents in four affected villages: Teluk Bakung, Lingga, Pancaroba, and Kuala Bakung.
The aid was handed over directly by the Acting General Estate Manager of PT GAN, Mardamen Simbolon, along with the local sub-district head and village heads.
"We are deeply concerned about this situation. People are facing difficulties because their activities are hindered by the floods," said Mardamen on Saturday (19/10/2024).
In addition to food and medicine, PT GAN has also established a 24-hour health center in collaboration with the Puskesmas Lingga Health Center to provide medical services to residents.
"This aid will not solve the problems, but we hope it can alleviate the burden on the victims," added Mardamen.
As a form of further support, PT GAN has deployed heavy equipment to assist in the evacuation and mobilization of residents. The company also encourages the community to work together in facing this disaster.
