PT Graha Agro Nusantara Delivers Relief to Hundreds of Flood-Affected Residents in Pasak Piang Village

Pontianak, As part of its concern for surrounding communities, PT Graha Agro Nusantara (GAN) distributed aid to residents of Pasak Piang Village, Sei Ambawang Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency, who were affected by recent flooding. The assistance, consisting of basic food packages, was delivered directly to the site on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
This quick response was carried out following floods that inundated four hamlets in Pasak Piang Village — Sungai Piang, Banyuates, Kalimantan, and Belidak — between September 12 and 25, 2025. The prolonged heavy rainfall disrupted the daily activities of 2,396 residents for nearly two weeks.
The distributed aid packages contained essential supplies such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, and sugar. This support is expected to help ease the burden of affected families during the post-disaster recovery period.
Abdul Muin, the Village Secretary of Pasak Piang, who received the aid symbolically, expressed his appreciation and gratitude. He emphasized the importance of private sector participation during such difficult times.
“This assistance has helped ease the burden on our residents. This incident reminds us that we are not alone—many parties care, especially companies operating near our village,” said Abdul Muin.
Kurnia, one of the affected residents, also expressed her gratitude and warmly welcomed the support, wishing continued success for PT GAN’s business operations.
A PT GAN management representative stated that the activity reflects the company’s commitment to carrying out its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL).
“This is a reflection of our commitment, as well as a prayer for the residents to quickly return to their normal routines. As neighbors, it’s only natural that we help one another, especially those who are facing hardship,” said the representative.
As of this report, floodwaters in Pasak Piang Village have fully receded, and community activities have gradually returned to normal.
